Peanut Butter

I was reading the comments to my blogging and I had to laugh at my sister's (Shelley Ann) comment about dreams. She is doing this diet side-by-side with me and she's actually the one who told me about this. So, back to dreams. She has been dreaming about being in social situations and screwing up the diet with things that aren't her favorite. Her favorite food (I'm pretty sure to her it's a whole food group) is, yes, PEANUT BUTTER.

The funny thing is, two nights ago, I was upstairs in my bedroom using my computer when all of a sudden, to me the whole room smelled like peanut butter. I actually looked at the doorway to see if one of my sons was standing there eating peanut butter out of the jar, it was that strong and real! So then, I got up and went down to the kitchen and there was no peanut butter out, the boys were in bed sleeping and all was quiet! Weird. I too, have been thinking about peanut butter.

Oh, and by the way, we are twins living about 1300 miles apart. Go figure! Maybe next time we get together we can split a jar of peanut butter and a bottle of wine (which is way better than jelly).

On another note, tonight I purchased an e-book from a yahoo group person and it's a cookbook. I am printing it out so I can stick it in a 3-ring binder and have it in the kitchen for my daily food preparations. I will have my "flags" right there too so I can flag the pages with my favorite recipes. They look good! My sister, Shelley Ann, tipped me off to it and the value of it for keeping the food interesting for the duration of the diet. So glad I got it! Now I need to thank Tammy for also making this diet a lot easier to stick with.

What an awesome team there is to help me through this! So far my gratitude is going out daily to Drugdelivery.ca for setting this up and providing the HCG, HCG Supplies for providing the equipment to deliver the dose, CC for her e-book and all of the valuable information it provides, Tammy for making the food taste better, and last, but not least, my SKINNY TWINNY! I couldn't do it without you all. I am thanking God for you and this opportunity to better my health and better myself.

Mmmmmmm! PEANUT BUTTER!

I have enough self control to go to the jar, open it and breathe deeply without taking so much as a taste. I've found it actually empowering.

The trick to using aroma to satisfy your food craving is the same as training yourself to stop eating when your are satisfied and not yet full.

If you take a deep breath through your nose so you can really SMELL what you crave and continue to smell it until the aroma becomes less distinct, you will find the craving satisfied.

If you eat and really think about how the food tastes, your enjoyment of the flavor diminishes as your body is satisfied. You will find that you will not eat until you are stuffed, if you quit when the food loses it's flavor appeal.

Sometimes this is hard to do. It's a self training exercise that pays off in lost pounds and good self-discipline for a lifetime!
