VLCD #3
This morning my weight is down to 153.2. My weight hasn't dropped below 154 in about a year I would guess. For kicks I weighed right before bed and I was at 154.6, so I lost 1/10 of a pound during the day.
I haven't cheated for one bite and I have stayed under, but close to 500 calories so far. Last night my son brought home a pizza and that was tough to resist because it had lots of vegies on it and that's my favorite kind. I was ready to just pick a piece of green pepper off of it and I said to myself out loud, " No way, it isn't worth it", and walked away from it. Then, when I was on the computer, computing servings and calories for today, I could smell peanut butter. It was CLEARLY peanut butter, glorious peanut butter! My room is upstairs and the all of the other rooms are downstairs. It was the oddest thing, and I so wanted a spoonful. But I didn't cheat because once I slip one foot off the wagon I am the type to take a huge tumble. It just isn't worth it.
One of the great things, and there are many great things, about this diet is that we get such immediate results. If the weight didn't come off immediately it would be a huge struggle for me to stick with it for long. That is why I am not a dieter. I would rather enjoy life than be on a diet that didn't give visible results right away. I have tried 2 other diets and quit within 2 weeks because I didn't lose more than a pound. This is amazing and thrilling to me.
Todays meals are:
lunch
huge lettuce salad with grilled shrimp and tomatoes all seasoned with garlic, salt and pepper.
snack at work
apple
dinner
taco salad made with my leftover salad from lunch and fresh 95% or better organic lean ground beef. I ate all of the shrimp out of the lunch salad but could only get down half the lettuce.
snack at home
strawberries
I haven't been eating anything past 7 pm.
I am excited for the day I hit the 10 pounds lost mark. I will celebrate with a drink. I'm thinking Green Chai Tea. Yummy, and no cals! Happy day to you all!
